Answers to common questions about booking and staying with Myrtle Stays in Myrtle Beach.
Why are Airbnb and VRBO prices higher?
Booking directly with us typically saves 15–20%. Some apps build service fees into the total price paid by hosts, which can be passed along to guests. When you book direct, pricing is itemized and transparent.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless otherwise agreed.
When will I receive my check-in code and instructions?
Your door code and arrival instructions are sent approximately 30 minutes before check-in time.
Can I request an early check-in or late check-out?
Early check-in and late check-out options are sent the day before arrival/departure and must be submitted by 8:00 PM the night before. If available, you’ll receive a secure payment link.
- Early check-in: $50 for 2 PM or $75 for 1 PM
- Late check-out: $75 for 11 AM or $100 for 12 PM
Do you have pet-friendly places?
We love animals, but the resorts we manage have a strict no-pets policy. Exceptions apply only to ADA-certified service animals or registered emotional support animals, with proper documentation required at check-in.
Where do I report non-emergent issues?
Please report non-emergency issues through our contact page. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
Where do I check in?
We offer contact-free check-in. If you’re staying in a resort, the front desk is not affiliated with your reservation. All check-in details and your door code will be sent 30 minutes before arrival.
Check-out checklist
- Clean and put away dishes
- Wipe soiled surfaces
- Pick up all garbage and trash
- Take trash bags to the cans by the elevators
- Place towels and washcloths on the tile floor
- Do not strip the beds (housekeeping will handle this)
- Leave the sofa sleeper or Murphy bed out if used
- Close the balcony door and set the thermostat(s) to 68°F
What is supplied vs. what should I pack?
Provided at check-in
- Bed linens and pillows
- Bath towels/washcloths (per occupancy)
- Starter toiletries: 1 oz shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and 1 soap bar (per bathroom)
- Starter toilet paper: 2 rolls (per bathroom)
- Hand soap and dish soap
- Hair dryer
- Iron and ironing board
Not provided
- Beach or pool towels
- Beach chairs or umbrellas
- Coffee or condiments (coffeemaker provided)
Note: These are starter items only; guests are responsible for replenishing supplies as needed.
Rental agreement
The rental agreement covers basic rules and regulations for the resort and/or condo and is required for booking. Payment of the damage waiver serves as signature of the rental agreement and is transparently included in our listings.
Damage waiver
We use a low-cost damage waiver to provide peace of mind without large security deposits. This small, transparent fee—added after booking and clearly noted in our listings—covers up to $1,000 in accidental or incidental damage.
